Prior Authorization Specialist
We are looking for an experienced full-time Prior Authorization Specialist to join our practice.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Validating eligibility and benefits.
- Obtaining/documenting prior authorizations for procedures and other services.
- Providing cost estimates to patients and obtaining payments.
- Working with the billing department as well as other departments as appropriate to communicate authorization updates, denials and/or delays.
- Other duties within the billing department as needed.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of procedure coding and can efficiently track and obtain authorizations with multiple payors and product lines.
Job Type: Full-time.

Plastic + Hand
Registered Nurse – PACU/OR
We are looking for an experienced full-time PACU/OR Registered Nurse to join our practice.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare charts for the next day – obtain consents, documentation from pre-op appointment, imaging/documentation/lab work necessary for surgery.
- Narcotics count and document temperature and humidity of facility.
- Follow-up phone calls to patients from previous day.
- Admission of patients includes; interview, vital signs, IV placement, and administration of medications.
- Care for patients in PACU includes; monitoring vital signs and patient assessments as well as discharge education for the patient and their responsible party along with ensuring follow-up care has been arranged.
- Restocking medication and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Must have current State of Maine RN license and ACLS. Commitment to quality patient care, flexibility and excellent communication skills required.

Patient Access Representative
We are looking for an experienced full-time Patient Access Representative to join our practice.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greeting and assisting patients when they check in/check out for their appointment.
- Verifying insurance coverage and collecting co-pays and other payments.
- Preparing charts for next business day.
- Good understanding of health insurance.
- Solid handling of cash and other forms of payments.
- Collecting and updating information for established patients.
- Answering and directing calls appropriately throughout the practice.
- Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, ability to work in a face-paced environment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Plastic + Hand
Practice Coordinator
We are looking for an experienced full-time Practice Coordinator to join our practice.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer phone calls regarding scheduling for physicians.
- Scheduling & rescheduling of office appointments to include new patients, follow-ups, and therapy.
- Coordinating of outside appointments – referrals to other physicians.
- Scheduling of all surgical procedures at Plastic + Hand and local hospitals.
- Communicate daily with doctor and P.A. to enter hospital patients into EMR for charge entry.
- Scanning of all correspondence for physician to review. Communicate daily with doctor and P.A. to record hospital visits, hospital consults and any hospital surgeries.
- Other duties as assigned.
