Are surgeries performed onsite at Plastic + Hand?
Yes. We perform our surgeries right here at The Surgery Center at Plastic + Hand, our fully accredited, onsite facility.
Opened in 1987 as one of Maine’s first day surgery centers, it’s staffed by experienced nurses and physician assistants specializing in outpatient care. Anesthesiologists from Spectrum Medical Group – the same team that provides anesthesia at MaineHealth’s Portland and Biddeford hospitals – also care for our patients.
The Surgery Center at Plastic + Hand is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Medicare-certified, and licensed by the State of Maine.
Do you offer nonsurgical services, like injectables?
Plastic + Hand offers a full range of treatments, including BOTOX® Cosmetic, Juvéderm® XC, Voluma® XC, Volbella® XC, Kybella® XC, RHA2®, Dysport® and DAXXIFY®.We also offer liquid rhinoplasty, a nonsurgical procedure that uses FDA-approved dermal fillers to reshape the nose for small to moderate cosmetic concerns.
How do I schedule a consultation for cosmetic surgery?
The first step is a conversation with our Patient Care Coordinator.
We’ll answer your questions, talk through the procedure you’re considering, and explain what to expect. From there, we’ll match you with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons for your consultation. Please note, there is a $150 fee for cosmetic consultations.
