Richard C. Flaherty, MD, FACS

Dr. Flaherty is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. Flaherty is on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic and serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at Maine Medical Center for Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Flaherty graduated from Boston College and Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Maine Medical Center and his Residency in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at the University of Rochester in New York. John A. Attwood, MD, FACS

Dr. Attwood is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is also certified as having Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Attwood is on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic and serves as Associate Clinical Professor at Maine Medical Center for Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Attwood graduated from St. Michael’s College and Dartmouth Medical School. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Maine Medical Center and his Residency in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, with training in Microvascular Surgery. Therese K. White, MD, FACS

Dr. White is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition to her surgical practice, Dr. White is Director of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Maine Medical Center. She serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at Maine Medical Center for Tufts University School of Medicine, and is on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic. She has also served as a member of the surgical staff at the Lahey Clinic. Dr. White graduated from Dartmouth College and the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She completed her General Surgery Residency at Maine Medical Center and her Residency in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at the Lahey Clinic in Massachusetts, with training in Microvascular Surgery. Thomas E. Vaughan, MD, FACS

Dr. Vaughan graduated from Haverford College and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Vaughan completed a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore with training in Hand and Microvascular Surgery, and a Fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Sirish Maddali, MD, FACS

Dr. Maddali is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic and serves as Clinical Instructor at Maine Medical Center for Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Maddali graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and received his MD from Cornell University Medical College. He completed his General Surgery Residency at The New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell and his Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Richard Kutz, MD, MPH

Dr. Kutz is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a candidate for membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons®. He is on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic and serves as Clinical Instructor at Maine Medical Center for Tufts University School of Medicine. He earned his MD from the Penn State College of Medicine and completed his General Surgery Residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Kutz completed his Plastic Surgery Residency in the Harvard Plastic Surgery Residency Program, with training at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Additionally, he received training in Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Children’s Hospital Boston and in Burn Reconstruction at Shriners Burn Hospital Boston. While at Dartmouth, Dr. Kutz spent an additional two years studying surgical outcomes and applying results to improve the safety of care for surgical patients, earning a Master of Public Health degree from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.

Jean J. Labelle, MD, FRCS(C), FACS

Retired

Dr. Labelle retired in 2000, after contributing nearly 30 years of excellence to the practice of plastic surgery and to the Plastic & Hand surgical facility he founded in 1976. A board-certified plastic, reconstructive and hand surgeon, Dr. Labelle has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Canada) since 1969 and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 1972. He has helped train a generation of plastic surgeons, serving as a clinical instructor at Maine Medical Center for the University of Vermont College of Medicine and as teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic. A native of Canada, Dr. Labelle graduated from Rouyn College and received his medical degree from Ottawa Medical School. Following residencies in general and hand surgery at Grace Hospital in Detroit and in plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery at McGill University in Montreal, Dr. Labelle began practicing in Maine in 1971. aspslogo Jean Labelle

Robert B. Waterhouse MD, FRCS(C), FACS

Retired

Dr. Waterhouse retired from practice in 2006, following 28 years of distinction in the practice of plastic surgery – caring for patients, teaching medical students and serving in leadership roles at Maine Medical Center. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons (Canada), and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Waterhouse has served on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic and the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He is a member of the board of trustees of Maine Medical Center and a past president of the medical staff. Dr. Waterhouse graduated from Middlebury College and the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed his general surgery residency at Maine Medical Center and his residency in plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery at McGill University in Montreal.
