Ms. Smith completed her physician assistant training at Cornell University Medical College and New York Hospital in New York City. An experienced physician assistant, she joined Plastic & Hand Surgical Associates in 1993 after serving as physician assistant in a New York City plastic surgery private practice. Ms. Smith is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Downeast Association of Physician Assistants. She is certified by the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Ms. Hieger received her master of science in nursing and her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where she also completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. A native of Maine, she has returned to the state with experience in both gastroenterology and family practice. Ms. Hieger is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Maine Nurse Practitioner Association. She is certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. Ms. Hieger joined Plastic & Hand Surgical Associates in 2003.

Ms. Mack received her master of science and bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Southern Maine. Most recently, Lucy worked at Mercy Hospital as an inpatient nurse practitioner in the Physician Extender Department. She also practiced at Mercy as a primary nurse in the Ambulatory Care Unit and circulated in the minor surgery room, thus bringing over 20 years of surgical experience to her role at Plastic & Hand. Lucy was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in 2003 and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
